Summer Betrayal

Summer Betrayal will be the first in a four part series called Southern Seasons.  The plan is to publish the book on Kindle Direct through Amazon around the first of June 2017.

  • When Jesse Duncan dies, her daughter Lacey is forced to return to her hometown in Appling, Georgia to handle her mother’s estate.  In the process of going through items in the attic, Lacey discovers a trunk that will not only turn her world upside down but throw her right into the path of Lance Barrett.  Follow her through the unraveling of family secrets, lies and incredible deception.

Excerpt from Chapter 1:

  • She opened the door, walked swiftly out onto the porch and proceeded down the steps. As she turned and positioned herself between the bags she tightened up the much too small towel as a last-minute safety precaution. She leaned over, grabbed a bag in both hands and stood up. Suddenly a rush of cold air swept over her entire body. Her worst fears had just become a reality. The towel fell to the ground, leaving her totally exposed. Every inch of her slender body shivered for a second from the un-welcomed introduction to the night air.  Every inch of bare skin was chilled, except her face. She didn’t need a mirror to know that it was blood red; she could feel the heat in her eyes and cheeks and knew that she was blushing terribly. Panic! Fear! Embarrassment!  Nope, she thought, none of these words were anywhere close to what she was feeling at that very moment.  Thank goodness, there was no one to witness her humiliation.

Or was there?  Stay tuned in early June 2017 for the release of Summer Betrayal to find out more !
